Teaching

My aim as a teacher is to use the history of philosophy to help students develop a more reflective approach toward themselves and the world around them. I believe that education is centrally concerned with the task of self-understanding, and in pursuit of this task I approach the philosophical canon as a dialogue through time that can be used to spur our own dialogue.

I have been a teaching instructor at Fordham University for more than four years. My teaching experience includes the following sections:

Philosophy of Human Nature (syllabus)

  • Spring 2020 (hybrid model), Fall 2019, Fall 2018
  • Eloquentia Perfecta sections (a writing and speaking intensive section): Fall 2023 (2x), Fall 2019, Spring 2019

Philosophical Ethics (syllabus)

  • Spring 2024 (2x), Spring 2022, Fall 2021, Spring 2021 (hybrid model), Fall 2020 (hybrid model)
